This year BUSTER presents a brand new Industry Day, during the festival as part of the Nordic Junior Sessions – a 7 hour tour de force of children's media practice!
Learn how to engage and captivate the young target audience when BUSTER welcomes film industry professionals for the Industry Day during the 2019 edition of BUSTER Filmfestival. Young media consumers give us first-hand insight into where they tend to seek out films and series and what kinds of content appeal to them.
What steps can the film industry take in the face of YouTube - our most significant competition regarding content for children and youth?
We’ll welcome the Danish Minister of Culture, Claus Ladegaard - Director of The Danish Film Institute and Channel Editor of children's channels DR Ramasjang and DR Ultra - Morten Skov Hansen for a talk on the challenges of new media, as well as creators of universes and storyworlds with many years of experience and young guests who will illuminate us on how to tell engaging stories on social media about everything from the climate crisis to #MeToo.
Keld Reinicke grants us insight into foreign companies’ efforts to captivate the young consumers while a wide array of directors, game designers, producers and screenwriters will inspire through short sessions on how to reach the young audience, in a Nordic perspective.
BUSTER's Industry Day takes place on Friday the 4th of October from 9.30 AM to 4PM at Cinemateket, The Danish Film Institute in Gothersgade 55, Copenhagen. The programme will be held mainly in Danish.
Registration for the Industry Day is now open. It’s free with an Industry Accreditation (also free).
